Recently our class has conducted a survey about \"The growth of teenagers\". People have different opinions on it.
Some people think that the teenagers are ambitious and independent in thinking. They are fond of new things, ready to accept and try them. What's more, they have many new ideas, which make them more creative. It's especially worth mentioning that they are enthusiastic and confident. They treasure friendship and are good at communicating with others.
However, others argue that the teenagers are too self-centered and dependent on their parents in life or teachers in study. They tend to live a comfortable life but are less able to overcome frustration. Besides, some of them lack the sense of responsibility and don't know how to show gratitude to others. Worse still, many are so weak in controlling themselves that they are often addicted to the Internet.
As a member of them, I think we should be aware of our own strengths and weaknesses,,so that we can put emphasis on perfecting ourselves. Only in this way can we gain respect and faith from others.

W: Ten pounds makes you ill now. Why did you want to do that?
M: I was short of money for getting a calculator and I thought it easy to swim across the lake. But

Vitamin D is important for good health, growth and strong bones. A main action of vitamin D is to help calcium and phosphorus in our diet to be absorbed from the gut. The calcium and phosphorus are essential for the structure and strength of our bones. So, vitamin D is really important for strong bones. In addition, vitamin D seems to be important for muscles and general health. Scientists have also found that vitamin D may also help to prevent other diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. A lack of vitamin D is very common. Vitamin D is mostly made in the skin by exposure to sunlight. Most foods contain very little vitamin D naturally, though some are fortified with added vitamin D. A mild lack of vitamin D may not cause symptoms but can cause general aches and pains. A more severe lack can cause serious problems such as rickets ( in children) and osteomalacia (in adults). Treatment is with vitamin D supplements. Some people are more at risk of vitamin D deficiency, and so are recommended to take Vitamin D supplements routinely. These include all pregnant women, breast-fed babies, children under 5, and people aged 65 and over. Also, people who do not get much exposure to the sun, people with black or Asian skin types, and people with certain gut, liver or kidney diseases.
